Group Classes for Children, Adults and GCSE

Little Mandarin Talkers is a Chinese school in St Albans with classes for both beginners and bilingual children aged between 3 and 16 years.
Our staff are past and current Mandarin teachers experienced in early education and development. We apply unique teaching methods to enhance your Child’s learning and abilities. We cater for children as young as 3 years of age as we believe too often the precious formative years from birth to five years of age are wasted by parents and teachers who feel that the child is too young to learn.
We aim at creating an immersing atmosphere for your children combining culture and language during lessons. Some lessons are taught entirely in Chinese. Others will be bilingual or progressively in Mandarin. Younger children will be learning vocabulary and encouraged to read simple phrases by means of songs, games and creative interactive activities. Older children will focus on spelling, writing and reading. We run a separate class for Bilingual children to refresh and to supplement the linguistic. We aim to pursue a natural and enjoyable language learning experience in our classes. We immensely enjoy the innovation of the fusion between east and west teaching methods.

Saturdays during term time, starting 16th September 2023.
09:10am - 10:10am [age 6+] YCT Level 1 group class (English Resource Room)
10:15am - 11:15am [age 3-5] YCT Foundation group class (English Resource Room)
10:15am - 11:15pm Adult class, Beginner level (pre-book)

Private Tuition for Adults or Children
Little Talkers can also provide private tuition for individual course for adults and children in your home or at the tutor’s home on a 1-1, 2-1 or 3-1 basis – these sessions are usually 1 hour or 1.5 hours in length and prices are available on application.
We have a team who are able to provide tuition for all ages and at all levels. Whether you need Mandarin for work, fun, holidays, family circumstances or a possible move abroad, we can provide you with a tailor-made course to suit your requirements on Mandarin. The tutor will have a chat with you about your needs – they will then deliver a course tailor-made for you.
Private Tuition for Family Learning Fun
Little Talkers Mandarin team have put a new concept in language teaching practice. Lessons take place in your home and the teacher will deliver a course designed to appeal to the whole family. Mums and dads can help the younger ones with activities; older siblings can help younger members of the family. Everyone in family are encouraged to join together in a Chinese song or game.
( Secretly though some mum and dad get a little nervous about the fact that they might not do as well as their children…)
Lessons can either take place in your home or tutor’ home depending on your requirements.
